Quote: …If you don’t love what your doing , your just cutting hair.”

Why work at Headcases?Well beyond the fact that I own the place and it might be weird if I worked at a different salon…lol . Headcases is the most creative, and artistic environment with the BEST team of artists that inspire and motivate each other. Passion for our craft fuels everything that we do. As a team we seek out inspiration, education, and joy in all that we do.

When you’re not doing hair you”re? … I love the outdoors; in the summer you will find me on some body of water in my kayak, or at the pool soaking up the sun. In the winter we have to get a bit more creative. Bottom line, life is precious get out and live all it has to offer.

What’s your approach to new clients?…I LOVE NEW GUESTS!! A new guest is typically unhappy with what they have been experiencing. I love the opportunity to step up and wow the socks off of someone!!I believe the most important part of any salon visit is the consultation. I am a self-proclaimed consultation guru. I spend the time getting to know all I can about the guests needs/style/goals to set us up for success.

What makes you happy as a stylist?… The look in a guests eyes when I turn them around and they see the version of themselves that makes them glow.

What are hair must-haves for your clients?… First of all good tools are a must! The Paul Mitchell hot tools just cant be beat! You’ve got to have a good thermal -protectant with those irons, I’m a fan of the Paul Mitchell Neuro Protect. Basically if its Paul Mitchell, your on the right track.

What are your thoughts on dry cutting?…I love dry-cutting, I would say 70% of all my cutting is done after the blow dry, Cutting dry is more visual. I like to see how the hair is going to fall and how it moves. Dry-cutting also allows me to see the color placement and how the lines, and angels.

What are your main goals for your clients?… EDUCATION!! I want to give my guests all the knowledge they need to be successful recreating the look we do in the salon.
